What level of responsibility should staff have for science resources?
Whenever a member of staff teaches science session he or she has overall responsibility for resourcing the activities. At the same time the teacher is also accountable for developing children's ability to choose and use resources in science appropriately and that includes working safely. This means that they need to develop approaches to encourage children to make their own decisions about what kind of equipment they need and how to use it.
